TV Overload

Hermit. One of the many words that could be used to describe my TV watching behavior in the last two months. Some say hermit, I say devoted follower. I consider it research for a pub quiz 20 years in the future, and I will wow all around me with my in depth knowledge of 2014 American sitcoms.

No.1 on my list at the moment is Parks and Recreation. I’ve been putting off watching this for a while because the first 2 episodes were a bit blah, but I thought, it’s Amy though innit, so I’ve got to try. By Amy, I mean Amy Poehler, ma main girl. Anyway, it’s simply the funniest, especially if you like The Office. It’s the same producers and it basically is the same show in government, but less weird.

I recently finished 30 Rock and I’ll be honest that was slightly more of a struggle. Don’t get me wrong, I have an undying devotion to Tina fey and if she killed a child or whatever, I would still support her, Cut for Bieber style. It might have taken 8 months to finish all 7 seasons, but it was so worth it. I’ll be super cliché and say it, I am Liz Lemon, don’t even care if I sound like every 15-35 year old .

On a similar note: Broad City  produced by Amy P. based on a web series. It’s what Girls is trying to be but won’t admit it, except it’s actually funny and watchable. This may be a massive overstatement as there’s only been 3 episodes, but we’ll see.

Other than that, it’s been a lot of 2004 Saturday Night Live, I’ve just started Workaholics of which I haven’t made up my mind yet, and Mr Show, which is just too much to handle.

As for things I don’t like, No.1 and worst Golden Globe choice ever is Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which is not funny, boring, slow, Andy Samberg is stupid, waste of time.

And I hate to say it but The Mindy Project is really bad. Like REALLY bad. I feel like I should stick behind my girl, but it’s just the worst. New Girl has also gone way downhill. (all on E4, just putting it out there)

In conclusion,

Watch Parks and Recreation
